Our Whipped Tallow Body Butter is made from grass-fed and grass-finished pasture-raised cattle from a small local farm here in Nova Scotia.
We then render the tallow ourselves in small batches and add a small amount of first cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil to create this very creamy, very moisturizing whipped body butter. There are no preservatives, chemicals, or other toxic ingredients.
Tallow contains fat soluble vitamins A, D, K, and E and is easily absorbed into the skin, which means that you won't be left with a greasy feeling. If you do find that your skin feels greasy after application, simply apply less next time as you don't have to use much at all. Whipped Tallow is wonderful for softening the skin and can be used on your hands, feet, face, lips...well, your entire body!
And as it is such an effective moisturizer, a little really does go a long way, so the jar will last you a long time. Since there are no preservatives in our body butter, it should be used up within 4-6 months. If you want to prolong the life of your body butter, keep it in the fridge and ensure that you apply it with clean hands so as to not introduce bacteria into the jar.
Whipped Tallow Body Butter
Grass-fed, grass-finished beef tallow from pasture-raised cattle and first cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil.
No preservatives, chemicals, or any other kind of toxins.
Using clean hands, apply a very small amount of whipped body butter to your skin, rubbing in completely.
The consistency of the body butter may slightly harden if the temperature is cold, but simply rubbing a little between your fingers will soften it and make it easy to apply. If the temperature is warm, the body butter will soften and may separate, so it is best stored at room temperature.
Store your body butter at room temperature in a cool, dark location.
